Matthew Szlachetka
Matthew Szlachetka is a road-seasoned roots-rock songwriter and guitarist whose music bridges Los Angeles folk-rock shimmer with Nashville’s modern Americana backbone. A relentless touring artist for more than a decade, he’s built his audience the honest way — show by show, city by city — spending more than 200 days a year on the road.
His third album, Young Heart, Old Soul, was named a Top 10 Album of 2022 by Magnet Magazine and earned praise from outlets like Rolling Stone Country, who called him one of the “10 New Artists You Need to Know.” Produced by Grammy-winning Train co-founder Scott Underwood and recorded largely at Nashville’s legendary Blackbird Studios, the record showcases Szlachetka’s signature blend of heartland hooks, folk-driven melodies, and expressive, searing guitar work.
Equally at home on stage and in the studio, Matthew has shared bills with artists including Brandi Carlile, Chris Isaak, and members of Tom Petty’s and Sheryl Crow’s bands. When he’s not touring internationally, he’s an in-demand Nashville producer, session guitarist, and songwriter, collaborating with Grammy-winning producers and artists across the Americana and roots spectrum.
At the core of it all is feel — honest songwriting, dynamic guitar work, and performances grounded in connection. Whether delivering stirring acoustic passages or fleet-fingered electric leads, Szlachetka brings a depth and authenticity that define the modern Americana sound.
